The Maribyrnong College Soccer Program has been designed to develop a training schedule to assist elite Victorian junior football players in their pathway towards State, National and International representation.
In order to achieve our main aims, the college enlists the services of Football Technical Director Arthur Papas who over the last few years has experiences working with the Australian Institute of Sport Men's Football Program, Australian National Youth Teams, Hyundai A-League and more recently as Head Coach of the Indian Olympic Men's Team. It is his responsibility to pass on his very recent experiences at the professional level to the technical staff to ensure the program rolls out the National Curriculum to it's student-athletes.
In addition to the Technical Director the football program employs six-football specific staff that between them cover the aspects of Technical coaches, Goalkeeper Coach, Performance Analysis, Football Conditioner & Rehabilitation Coordinator. All technical staff members are either working within the Hyundai A-League, played National Team Football or are within the FFA Skill Acquisition Program with the emphasis being based on employing football specialists within each field who are able to transmit their experiences and knowledge to the student-athlete scholarship holders to assist in developing them to their maximum potential.
