The Maribyrnong Sports Academy Rowing Program aims to provide high achieving and potential elite Junior Rowers with an on and off water training program specifically designed to assist each student-athlete in their pathway towards State, National and International representation. We establish a Long-Term athlete development plan for each student-athlete and specifically focus on small boat training, targeting the National selection model.
To provide a scholastic training environment where each student-athlete pursues excellence in every element of their life and understands that being an excellent athlete goes hand in hand with being an excellent student.
To combine high caliber intensive coaching with state-of-the-art technology and feedback systems that allows continual development through increased understanding of both the art and science of the optimal rowing stroke.
To develop holistic, well rounded student-athletes through a fully integrated training environment. Physical, mental and technical training is enhanced by the high level physical preparation, performance psychology, sports medicine and rehabilitation staff within the academy.
