Todd Carlon

Academy Role:  Athlete Development Program (ADP) – Year 10 and 12 Physical Preparation Coordinator.

Coaching Qualifications:  Todd is a level 2 Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA). He is also a member of the ASCA Professional Coach Accreditation Scheme (PCAS) as an Elite level coach and attains a Level 1 Weightlifting/Sports Power Coach accreditation with the Australian Weightlifting Federation.

Qualifications:  Todd holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) Honours Degree at the University of Ballarat. He also received the TrewHealth Award for distinction average at University and excellence in fieldwork program of the Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) Degree. 

Coaching Career: Todd’s coaching career has included positions in Strength and Conditioning at North Ballarat Rebels Football Club which compete in the under 18’s TAC Cup competition, Elite Sports Performance and an assistant Strength and Conditioning role with the Malaysian Track Cycling team between 2012 and 2014. Todd started employment at Maribyrnong Sports Academy in 2013. His current role is ADP Coordinator for year 10 and 12 ADP students. In conjunction with MSA Todd is a Strength Coach for Quentin Rew who is a race walker athlete at Athletics New Zealand who has finished in the top ten for the 50km race at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and World Championships in China this year. Todd is also an author of two journal articles in the Journal of Australian Strength and Conditioning.
