Maribyrnong Sports Academy would like to congratulate our 8 male cricket students who participated in Cricket Victoria’s Dowling Shield.

The Dowling Shield is part of the Cricket Victoria representative/pathway for U17’s with three of our boys playing for the Footscray CC. The next game for the team is a semi-final match against Geelong to be played at Merv Hughes Oval on Sunday the 20/2/2022.  The winner of that game will play the winner of the Ringwood and Richmond game in the Grand Final.

Year 11 student Mitch Jamieson is have an amazing season with the bat having scored centuries in both the Dowling Shield and Premier seconds.  Mitch is current the 3rd highest run scorer in the Dowling Shield with 366 runs from his 5 games at an average of 122, he is also sitting second in the Competition for the Dowling Shield Champion player.
