Aquatics

Program Overview

The Aquatics program caters to student-athletes who are engaged with aquatic-based disciplines. This includes:

  • Swimming

  • Artistic Swimming

  • Water Polo

  • Diving

  • Open Water Swimming

  • Surfing

  • Surf Life Saving

We strive to develop a team atmosphere providing support to individual athletes competing in aquatic sports. The program provides a safe and productive learning environment to develop young athletes who can balance their sporting and academic performance. Providing various experiences for athletes and assisting them in achieving their individual goals, athlete skill development and potential representation on state and national teams.

High Performance Coaching

Coaching support for Aquatics athletes is provided external to MSA by existing coaches whether that’s privately, club, state or national coaches. We encourage all external coaches to work together to help support the development needs of our student-athletes.

MSA specialist athlete services staff work in an integrated learning environment to assist student-athletes in the Aquatics Program with:

  • Sport-specific strength and conditioning

  • Performance psychology

  • Nutrition

  • Performance analysis

  • Rehabilitation

  • Wellbeing
