Our 2023 Badminton program is firing on all cylinders with an amazing performance by our current Student/Athletes at the Badminton Australia – Badminton Victoria junior circuit 3 U15/U19 State Titles.
We say congratulations to our Gold Medal winners:
Smrithi Adepu is the undisputed U15 Champion winning the State title in all 3 divisions in the U15’s including Singles, Mixed and Doubles events. The amazing thing about these wins is the Smrithi in only in year 7 and 12 years old.
Smrithi partnered with Kelvin Si (MSA Year 8) to win the U15 mixed doubles & Ria Bairy (MSA Year 7) to win the U15 Girls doubles.
Shrey Dhand who is a 15yo year 10 Student/Athlete won gold in the U19 boys singles.
We also congratulate other students at the tournament who either made finals or semi-finals.
Kelvin Si also made the U15 Boys doubles final
Ava Wong (MSA Year 7) was a U15 singles semi-finalist and doubles and mixed doubles finalist.
Tanvi Sai Mushini (MSA Year 7) was a U15 mixed doubles semi-finalist.
Ira Sameer Acharya (MSA Year 10) U19 Mixed doubles semi finalist
Lawrence Giang (MSA Year 12) U19 Mens doubles semi-finalist.
