It’s been another big week for our Alumni and Current Students in different sports around the world.  Check out some of the results:

Modern Pentathlon

The 2023 Modern Pentathlon Australian Championships saw 37 athletes from right around Australia battle it out for medals and MSA Alumni Tully Watt claimed Gold in the Women’s division.  Tully has just returned to Australia from International Competition and a training block which saw her contest the first two events of the UIPM World Cup in Cairo and Ankara.

Baseball

Former MSA Baseball Athlete Keenan Spence has received a great wrap in the Baseball Australia “Aussies Abroad” newsletter.  Here is what they had to say:

“The Victorian native has had a huge spring for the Howard College Hawks. After this weekend, he is now hitting .348 with 11 2B, 23 HR & 63 RBI in only 50 games. To put that into perspective, if you averaged that out for an MLB season he would hit almost 75 home runs. A ridiculous show of power from the outfielder who has also committed to Purdue University for the next two years if he is not taken in the MLB Draft in July.”

International Football

Naomi Chinnama has been selected in the squad for the young Matilda’s round 2 qualifiers, as the team looks to move to the next stage of the 2024 AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup.  The team will play Lebanon, Iran and Vietnam on the 3rd, 5th and 7th of June respectively in Vietnam.
