YEAR 7 APPLICATIONS

MSA offers 75 student-athlete scholarships for entry in Year 7.

The application process for Year 7 commences 12 months prior to the proposed year of entry when students are in Grade 6.

HOW TO APPLY

Applications for Year 7, 2025 closed on Wednesday 27th March, 2024.

We are no longer accepting applications and have commenced the trial and selection process. If you would like to submit an expression of interest for Year 7, 2025, we will keep your details on file. If there is an opportunity to submit a late application, we will contact you. Click here.

Applications for entry into Year 7, 2026 will open in Term 1 of 2025.

Step 1. APPLY ONLINE

Before completing an online application, you will be required to have the following information on hand:

  • General Student Details

  • A Head Shot Photo

  • Parent or Guardian Contact Details

  • Sport Details (Club Information, Highest Level of Achievement and Coach Contact Details for the sport that you are applying for)

  • Grade 5 Semester 1 and 2 Reports

  • NAPLAN Report

  • Credit card details to pay the $100 application fee.

Your application is only finalised once you have submitted your payment. Application fee is non-refundable.

Step 2. SELECTION PROCESS

During Term 2, all applicants are invited to take part in selection trials as part of the talent identification and select-entry process. Applicants are contacted via the email at the start of Term 2 with details regarding the selection trial process including date, time and location for your selection trials and physical testing.

The selection trials include;

  • Physical Testing (Including general power, speed (running) and anthropometric testing)

  • Sports Specific Training and Drills

 Selection is also based on;

  • Review of sport details provided in online application

  • Review of academic results (including effort, attitude and behaviour) based on school reports and further investigation as required.

Step 3. OFFERS MADE

Applicants are notified via email of the outcome of their application by the middle of Term 2.

As part of a targeted focus on developing performance pathways for para-athletes, with support from Paralympics Australia, MSA welcomes applications from students with an eligible impairment for para-sport.
