MSA Performances WE 06/03/2022

It was a quiet weekend for MSA Alumni this weekend with rain forcing our cricketers to miss the week or injury hampering some of our stars.

AFLW

Monique Conti continues to get plenty of the football for Richmond with 26 touches and 6 tackles in their win over the Giants, Elle McKenzie also played her part for the Tigers.

Geelong had a loss to St Kilda  - Georgie Prespakis had 16 touches and 5 tackles for the Cats

Melbourne kicked a record score to defeat Fremantle 107-19.  Libby Birch had a quiet day in defence but that’s to be expected when the opposition only kicked 3 goals.

The Western Bulldogs pumped the Eagles by 10 goals……Jess Fitzgerald had 13 touches and 1 tackle

A-League Women

Polly Doran was the only MSA Alumni to play on the weekend.  Her Melbourne Victory team drew with Canberra nil all

A-League Men

Birkan Kirdar come on for the Melbourne Victory in the 74 minute to replace Leigh Broxham in their 3-1 win over Macarthur

The Arthur Pappas coached Newcastle Jets had Dylan Murnane come on in the 60th minute during their 2-1 loss to Western United.
