MSA looks for Badminton Partner
Maribyrnong Sports Academy (MSA), Victoria's only State Government-funded specialist sports school, is inviting proposals from suitably qualified organisations to enter into a facility partnership for the use of its badminton courts outside of school program hours.
Established in 2006, MSA supports more than 550 student-athletes within a broader school community of approximately 1,350 students. The Academy delivers high-performance and participation programs across multiple sports, including badminton, supported by experienced coaches and integrated sports science services.
As part of its commitment to maximising community benefit from its facilities, MSA is seeking a partner to operate badminton and/or related programs using up to six on-site badminton courts during periods when the facilities are not required for school programs. The opportunity comes as the current facility partnership agreement approaches its expiry, providing MSA with the opportunity to undertake an open market process and assess proposals from interested organisations, including the existing provider.
The partnership aims to:
Maximise utilisation of facilities outside program hours
Increase community access to high-quality badminton facilities
Generate a sustainable commercial return
Align with MSA's values of community engagement and sporting excellence
MSA welcomes proposals from organisations with the experience, capability, and vision to deliver quality programs that support participation, development, and community connection.
