MSA Alumni WE 17/07/22

It’s been another solid weekend for our MSA Alumni.  Here are their performances

Athletics

Celeste Mucci will have her final warm up for the Commonwealth Games in Oregon when she competes in the World Athletics Championships on the 22nd -24th of July.  She will run in the 100m Hurdles and 4 x 100m relay team.

 

AFL

Paul Curtis scored 3 goals in North Melbourne’s upset win over Richmond at Marvel Stadium.  It was Paul’s first win with the Kangaroos

 

Touk Miller’s 28 disposal game for the Gold Coast Suns against Essendon wasn’t enough to stop the Bombers taking a 48 point win.  Peter Wright kicked 2 goals 3 for Essendon.

 

Cam Rayner had 19 disposals and kicked 3 goals in Brisbane’s 40 point win over the Giants.

 

Luke Ryan had 24 disposals for Fremantle in their unexpected loss to Sydney.

 

Zak Butters had 20 touches and 5 marks in Port Adelaide’s loss to Melbourne in Alice Springs

 

Soccer

Birkan Kirdar came on as a substitute for Melbourne Victory in the 79th minute against Manchester United at the MCG last Friday.  Manchester United won the game 4-1

 

Coming Up

A reminder that we have 4 Alumni attending the Commonwealth Games starting next week the 28th July in Birmingham, UK. 

 

Jacob Schueler and Gronya Somerville are competing in the Badminton Competition

 

Celeste Mucci is running in the 100m Hurdles and also will be a part of the 4 x 100m relay team

 

And Lucas Plapp will be riding track events in the Cycling competition .
