Lorenzo Pope signs with Moderna
MSA Alumni Lorenzo Pope has been signed by one of the biggest Volleyball teams in the world, Moderna and will play alongside some of the biggest names in the Sport.
Congratulations to MSA Alumni Lorenzo Pope on signing with Italian Volleyball league team Modena Volley for the upcoming IVL.
Modena has played in the highest level of the Italian Volleyball League without interruption since 1968. It is the most successful Italian club, having won the national league twelve times and the national cup as well. The club is one of the most prominent and prestigious in Europe too, having won thirteen European trophies including four CEV Champions League.
At 205cm tall Lorenzo will play as an outside hitter for Moderna after a successful period at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra over the past 4 years here in Melbourne. Lorenzo has also stood out for Australia in past games
Lorenzo will complement 3 of the biggest names in the World of Volleyball being Brazilian national Bruno, French national superstar Earvin Ngapeth and young Italian superstar Tomasso Rinaldi
In world sport likeness, signing with Moderna in Volleyball is like signing with Manchester United or Real Madrid in Soccer or maybe the New York Yankees in Baseball.
We wish Lorenzo all the best in the European Season which start later this year.
